The Challenge
Design a festive and engaging holiday newsletter that would stand out in an already crowded inbox during the holiday season — while staying true to the brand’s identity and driving clear user action.

Key constraints included:

  • Maintaining brand consistency despite the seasonal shift in visuals

  • Creating a design that worked seamlessly across devices (especially mobile)

  • Ensuring the contest mechanics were clear without overwhelming the viewer

  • Balancing aesthetic charm with conversion goals

The solution
I designed a visually festive yet brand-aligned newsletter that focused on clarity, mobile responsiveness, and emotional engagement.

Key design solutions included:

  • Clean, modular layout for easy readability across devices

  • Holiday-themed visuals like snowflakes, and gift wrap textures

  • Bold, easy-to-spot CTA buttons designed as gift tags to encourage interaction

  • Concise, friendly copy that clearly outlined contest details with a sense of excitement

  • Animated elements (like subtle falling snow and ornaments) added a dynamic touch without affecting load speed

  • Created alternative versions for A/B testing subject lines and CTA wording

Together, these choices led to a design that felt warm, joyful, and action-driven, while maintaining the brand’s upscale feel.

  • Studied color and design trends for winter: icy blues, rich reds, gold accents, soft snow textures

🎨 Design Approach

  • Created a cozy yet luxurious winter look using:

    • Snowflake overlays

    • Gold foil-style accents

    • Soft gradients and shadows

    • Playful but legible holiday typography

  • CTA buttons styled as gift tags to drive clicks

  • Included animated snow GIFs for added charm (optional in some versions)
