Project Overview
Design a sleek, high-converting welcome pop-up to boost email sign-ups and incentivize new customers. Luxie Beauty launched a website pop-up offering 20% off for first-time visitors. Designer responsible for the visual design and user experience of the pop-up, ensuring it felt aligned with Luxie Beauty’s luxe brand voice while encouraging conversion without disruption.
The Challenge
Encourage first-time visitors to subscribe without disrupting their shopping experience.
Keep the design clean, elegant, and consistent with Luxie’s premium brand feel.
Create a mobile-optimized layout that feels personal and polished.
The Solution
Crafted a soft pink + gold overlay with minimal copy to avoid overwhelming users. On desktop, the pop-up appeared centered with subtle drop shadow and for mobile, the layout adjusted to full-width with stacked fields. The call to action button enlarged for tap usability and typography scaled for clarity without overwhelming the viewport.
Used a warm, friendly tone: “Sign up today & get 20% Off your first order ”
Included a clean email input and clear CTA button (“Unlock My 20%”)
Added a subtle product image in the background to keep it beauty-focused.
Designed mobile and web layout for seamless responsive performance.

Tone & Messaging
The message needed to feel warm, inviting, and slightly playful — in line with Luxie’s personality by exploring copy like:
“ Let’s Make It Official — Get 20% Off When You Sign Up Today!”
“Your Beauty Bag Just Got Better — 20% Off Inside!”
Visual Direction
I leaned into Luxie Beauty’s soft aesthetic by incorporating blush pink background, gold or champagne accents, thin, elegant typefaces and subtle product styling (e.g. brush shadows or textures in the corner).
Layout & UX
Modal-style pop-up centered on screen with gentle fade-in
Mobile-first design: stacked layout with touch-friendly spacing
Email input + CTA button kept simple and high contrast
Close/exit icon clearly visible to respect user control

Incorporating a welcome pop up has significantly increased email sign-up rate for new visitors, provided an instant incentive for users to explore the brand, and strengthened Luxie’s digital first impression with a personalized touch. Some additional highlights include:

This project challenged me to balance form and function — creating a moment of delight while being performance-driven. By softening a traditional sales opportunity experience and leaning into Luxie’s charm, the pop-up felt more like a friendly welcome than a hard sell.
